Al Dhafra, United Arab Emirates – The third edition of the Al Dhafra Camel Racing Festival kicks off on Thursday.
Which is organized by the Emirates Camel Racing Federation over a period of 4 days, at the Camel Racing Field in Zayed City.
The festival is held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra region.
It includes 107 rounds in the facts, facts and radio categories.
The organizing committee announced in a statement on Wednesday that Al-Mataya is competing for 24 symbols, with 8 symbols for each category.
In addition to in-kind and cash prizes allocated to the winners by the organizing committee, amid a great demand for participation from camel owners in the country.
The Al-Haqaiq category competitions open the festival’s rounds, with 24 rounds in the morning for a distance of 3 km.
The winner of each round will receive 30,000 dirhams, in addition to cash prizes up to tenth place.
The evening period will witness 10 rounds, including 4 symbols in the main rounds for early events, open sitting, and production.
The financial prizes for the winners range between 500 and 400 thousand dirhams.
The second day includes 17 rounds for the Al-Haqaiq category in the evening, during which the participating teams compete for 4 symbols: the cup, the firstborn rifle, the open seat, and the production.
While the Al-Laqaya category competitions will be held next Saturday over 22 rounds in the morning, and 8 rounds for symbols in the evening.
The festival will conclude on October 26 with the radio category competitions, with Al-Mataya running over 18 rounds in the morning, and 8 rounds for symbols in the evening.
There are 4 symbols for virgins, open sitting, and localities, and 4 others for production category symbols.
