Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Etihad Airways announced that it will carry more than two million passengers during August 2025.
Thus, Etihad Airways achieved a new record.
This achievement is considered the first of its kind in the company’s history.
According to the company’s preliminary passenger traffic results for August 2025, released on Friday, this exceptional performance represents a 22% increase compared to August of last year. Passenger load rates rose to 91% compared to 89% in the same period last year.
This historic achievement comes in the context of strong and sustainable growth since the beginning of the year.
The national carrier carried 14.2 million passengers during the first eight months of 2025.
This is an increase of 18% compared to the same period in 2024. It shows a high average passenger load of 88%.
Commenting on these results, Antonwaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, described August as a “historic month” for the company.
He pointed out that this record performance, coupled with an annual growth rate of 22% and an occupancy rate of 91%, reflects travelers’ confidence in the work team. It also shows the service provided daily.
The Union’s aircraft fleet currently stands at 112 aircraft.
With the new A321LR entering service in August, it brings the luxury experience of wide-body aircraft to narrow-body aircraft for the first time in the region.
