Sharjah, United Arab Emirates – Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Federal Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah, the International Government Communication Forum 2025 commenced this morning at Expo Centre Sharjah. The event’s theme is “Enhancing Communication for Quality of Life.”

The two-day forum, held on September 10–11, brings together more than 230 speakers and hundreds of participants from around the world. This includes policymakers, experts, academics, and media professionals.

The opening ceremony was attended by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. She delivered the keynote address, emphasizing that effective government communication is a bridge to connect with society. It is also a strategic tool to achieve sustainable development and improve quality of life.

The forum’s agenda features over 110 activities, including 51 panel discussions, 22 practical workshops, and 7 keynote speeches delivered by global leaders. Discussions covered critical topics such as food security, education, healthcare, and sustainability. They also showcased the latest international practices in government communication.

One of the highlights was the “University Challenge” platform, which drew strong attention. Students from various countries competed to present innovative communication solutions for societal issues. This reinforced the forum’s role as an incubator for youth creativity and ideas.

Participants affirmed that the International Government Communication Forum has established Sharjah as a global hub for dialogue and knowledge exchange. It advances practices that foster transparency and builds a future of stronger, more sustainable connections between governments and people.
