Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Trends Research and Consulting Center participated in the 6th International Conference “The Spiritual Silk Road.” The role of moral values in rapprochement between peoples and continents.
Participation came as a research partner.
The conference was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on September 4 and 5.
With the participation of an elite group of scholars, thinkers and religious leaders from various countries and continents.
Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of the Center, delivered a speech at the conference. He stressed that there is agreement that all religions without exception call for coexistence and tolerance. This applies whether among their followers or with other sects, religions, and ethnicities.
They all emphasize human dignity, the right to difference, and the necessity of justice and mercy for all, without discrimination.
He pointed out that diversity can be a source of strength when built on respect, integration and dialogue.
He pointed out that religion is not only a system of faith. It is also a soft power that contributes to achieving the goals of security, stability, and coexistence. Religion promotes peace within and between countries.
He explained that extremism and fanaticism are among the most important challenges facing societies today.
He explained that the problem is not with religions and their teachings. Instead, it is with those who attempt to reinterpret tolerant religious values. They do this according to extremist visions and ideologies far removed from the true, lofty goals of religions.
Trends participated in the exhibition accompanying the conference. It presented a group of its most prominent qualitative research and knowledge publications.
His team participating in the conference also discussed ways to enhance cooperation. They focused on research and knowledge partnerships that support global intellectual dialogue with a number of figures and thinkers participating in the event.
