Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2025 Kicks Off with Its Largest Edition

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2025 has opened at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), bringing together more than 2,068 companies and brands from across the globe. Spanning over 92,000 square meters, this 22nd edition marks the largest in the exhibition’s history, running until 7 September 2025, inviting everyone to explore the essence of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.

Organized by ADNEC Group in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the event blends heritage, culture, and innovation under the theme “A Heritage Renewed.” The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition offers a unique cultural experience.

“Arena Shows” as the Beating Heart

The “Arena Shows” area remains a highlight of ADIHEX, offering nine days of diverse cultural, educational, and family-friendly performances. Among the main attractions is the “Horse Master Liberty” show by renowned horse whisperer Ali Al Ameri, delivering captivating equestrian skills and unique stunts. The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition embraces equestrian events with great enthusiasm.

Crowd favorites return this year, including the “Liberty Horse Show” and the “Cholib” performance by Abu Dhabi Police riders. For the first time, the exhibition will also host a Purebred Arabian Horse Auction on 5 September, giving enthusiasts the chance to bid on elite Arabian horses.

Camel and Horse Auctions

The popular Camel Auction also returns on 1 September, featuring young camels from prestigious bloodlines with detailed pedigree information. In 2024, camel auction sales exceeded AED 2.5 million, reflecting the growing demand for this heritage activity.

Regional and International Participation

This year includes a special performance by the Jordanian Camel Corps, showcasing traditional camel-riding techniques and highlighting the role of camels in field operations. For the first time, the exhibition will also feature falconry and Mongolian eagle hunting demonstrations, offering visitors a rare opportunity to witness authentic hunting practices as part of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition.

Entertainment competitions (Voice of Emirates)

Key competitions include the Falcon Beauty Contest on 4 September, featuring young falcons under one year old across three categories: Gyr-Peregrine, Pure Gyr, and Shaheen, with winners receiving awards and certificates. The program also includes the Saluki Beauty Contest on 6 September, covering “Al-Hess” and “Al-Areyash” categories, along with a Lure Coursing Saluki Show, combining traditional and modern techniques.

Dog Shows and Police Units

For the first time, the “Happy Dogs Show” will be presented within the Arena program, alongside revamped agility and training displays. The exhibition will also host two international dog shows as part of the Abu Dhabi International Championship, featuring the Abu Dhabi Police band, in addition to camel, horse, and police dog units.
