Alexandria, Egypt – The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation launched the “Knowledge Rest” initiative in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

This was during a session held at the Library of Alexandria, moderated by writer Sayed Mahmoud, with the participation of a group of prominent literary and cultural figures.

It comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to promote quality reading in the Arabic language and enrich the intellectual energies of young people.

His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, Executive Director of the Foundation, stated that the launch of the “Knowledge Rest” initiative in Egypt comes within the context of the regional expansion pursued by the Foundation to reach all Arab knowledge capitals with its projects.

It also reflects the Foundation’s mission to promote reading among Arab youth everywhere and help them expand their horizons.

He added that the launch of the rest house at the Library of Alexandria comes from the Foundation’s belief in the importance of this ancient cultural edifice, which has always been a beacon of science and knowledge and a meeting place for thought and creativity. It also reflects our firm commitment to designing and launching initiatives and events that contribute to enriching minds, refining capabilities, and promoting the values of openness and knowledge exchange.
