Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Dubai International Airport has announced preparations for an exceptional peak period as the summer vacation draws to a close and families and students return to Dubai in preparation for the start of the new school year.
Dubai International Airport is expected to receive more than 3.6 million passengers, at a daily rate of 280,000 passengers during the period from August 13 to 25, while Friday, August 15, is expected to be the busiest day, with passenger traffic exceeding 290,000 guests.
The airport witnessed the highest passenger traffic rate in its history in the first half of this year, while Dubai received 9.88 million international visitors who spent at least one night, achieving a growth of 6% compared to the same period last year. The airport also recorded more than 46 million passengers, strengthening its position as the busiest airport in the world for international passengers.
Dubai Airports continues to coordinate its efforts with all partners within the oneDXB community, including airlines, relevant authorities, commercial and service partners, to facilitate the movement of traveling guests. It has also issued a comprehensive guide that includes the most important tips to facilitate the journey during peak periods, as travelers with their families can use smart gates to speed up the passport control process, for children over the age of 12 He also stressed keeping passports, boarding passes, and any necessary visas or documents on hand to speed up the entry process.
He pointed out that guests can use the Dubai Metro at Terminals 1 and 3, or choose from a wide range of other modes of transportation, including Uber, Careem, Dubai Taxis, or car rental services.
