Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Emirates Post, in cooperation with the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, issued a commemorative stamp to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the founding of this national edifice, which achieved remarkable achievements that reflected positively on the society of the United Arab Emirates.
The issuance of this stamp aims to document the anniversary of the launch of the Council’s journey in 2003 by order of the founder and builder of Nahdet El Dawla, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God bless his soul, and to shed light on what he achieved during 20 years in serving mothers and children, under the patronage and guidance of the “Mother of the Emirates”, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation.
The commemorative edition highlights the Council’s contributions to maternal and child care, as it is the official incubator concerned with maternal and child issues in the country, and one of the basic building blocks in the structure of state institutions responsible for caring for maternal and child issues and achieving their well-being.

Al Reem bint Abdullah Al Falasi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, stressed that the first credit for what the Council has achieved during its 20-year journey goes to the support and guidance of the “Mother of the Emirates”, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, who had a profound impact in advancing the journey of the motherhood and childhood sector and leading it towards the future that mothers of the Emirates seek and their children deserve.
She said that Her Highness has always been the best person to support and follow this process and provide it with a fertile environment that has produced abundant goodness for mothers and children in this country, which has been evident through the opportunities, capabilities and services provided to them, which are of superior quality to what they have achieved in the most advanced and developed countries in the world, so that they have become an essential part of the comprehensive and sustainable development process, and an effective element in shaping the features of the bright future that we aspire to.
She added that this commemorative stamp represents a witness to a journey of tireless work, continuous efforts and tireless pursuit of excellence in embracing two dear segments of the sons and daughters of the UAE society, and presenting initiatives that contribute to achieving the vision of the wise leadership, and its directives that the people of this good land be the focus of attention and the pillar of care, and that all capabilities be harnessed to achieve well-being and happiness for them, and to advance all aspects of their lives.

The design of the commemorative stamp includes July 30, the date on which the royal decree was published in the Official Gazette establishing the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in 2003.. The design also bears a picture of the Council’s new headquarters building, topped with the name “Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood”.
With its iconic architectural design, the building embodies a milestone and a prominent landmark that reflects the level of excellence and development achieved by the Council in its journey..
