Dubai, UAE – Trading was active at the start of the UAE local stocks session, Monday. Supported by leading stocks in the real estate, banking, technology and industry sectors, amid the rise in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi market indices.
The Dubai Financial Market index rose 0.46% to 5,968.39 points. Meanwhile, the Abu Dhabi Securities Market index increased 0.47% to 10,160.41 points.
In the Dubai market, active liquidity was concentrated in the shares of Emaar Properties and Emaar Development. The first rose by about 3.5% to 11.28 dirhams, while the second rose by 1.86% to 13.16 dirhams.
The gains in Emaar shares came after Emaar Properties announced that its board of directors would meet next Wednesday to discuss enhancing shareholder returns. As well as capital allocation.
Emirates NBD shares also rose 0.3% to AED 31.66, and Dubai Islamic Co. rose 0.5% to AED 7.40. While Du shares increased 0.17% to 11.62 dirhams.
In the Abu Dhabi market, Two Point Zero shares rose 1.3% to AED 2.36, and ADNOC Supply shares rose 2.45% to AED 7.52. Space42 shares jumped 6.5% to AED 2.12, supported by liquidity of AED 40 million.
Al Dar shares also rose 1.53% to 7.93 dirhams. Al Sayr Equipment shares rose by 6.97% to 3.53 dirhams.
