Dubai, UAE – Acting Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation, Ahmed Al Rum Al Muhairi, revealed that 75 Emirati companies have joined the headquarters of Dubai Entrepreneurs.
Since its opening in October last year, more than 100 Emirati entrepreneurs have benefited from the headquarters’ services.
Al Muhairi added that the “Dubai Entrepreneurship Headquarters” contributes to achieving a number of basic goals.
Including supporting the growth of 30 startups into global unicorns worth more than $1 billion from Dubai, and helping 400 small and medium-sized companies expand their international presence by 2033. As one of the leading initiatives within Dubai’s D33 economic agenda.
He explained that through partnerships with pioneers of innovative systems locally and globally, the initiative confirms Dubai’s commitment to supporting innovation and accelerating the growth of the entrepreneurship system in strategic sectors that are consistent with the D33 agenda.
Al Muhairi stated that “the headquarters provides its members with all the resources and information they need to support their startups in Dubai, and allows entrepreneurs to benefit from a variety of basic services, including: acceleration programs concerned with each sector, directives under the supervision of experts, in addition to qualitative events and opportunities to communicate with investors, through a vital complex for joint work, and a comprehensive digital platform.”
He continued: “Entrepreneurs also benefit from customized consulting services, partnerships in establishing projects, and distinguished opportunities to communicate with the most prominent actors in global systems, in addition to assistance during the establishment phase and obtaining licenses”.
He stated that the Foundation launched the Business Accelerators Program, in cooperation with (Plage & Play).
With the aim of empowering entrepreneurs and providing them with the tools, expertise, and networks of relationships necessary to expand locally and globally.
It is expected that more projects in this regard will be announced soon.
Modern coworking spaces
He said the headquarters is a vital complex for promoting cooperation and growth, covering an area of 250 square metres.
So that it allows founders, investors, companies and relevant government agencies to communicate and cooperate together.
He pointed out that the headquarters includes modern coworking spaces, meeting rooms, and open areas for communication, and hosts a rich program of events aimed at enhancing communication.
In addition to exchanging knowledge, it also reflects Dubai’s creativity and celebrates local artists, providing an inspiring environment in which the concepts of creativity and culture converge.
Al Muhairi stated that one of the advantages of the headquarters is facilitating the entry of global startups into the market.
The headquarters constitutes a distinguished platform to help emerging companies and global small and medium enterprises enter the Dubai market.
It also provides comprehensive guidance on establishing a business, and provides a unified window to reach key stakeholders across the entire system.
