Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of the Dubai Chambers, announced the establishment of the Cyprus Business Council.
With the aim of promoting joint action between the business communities in Dubai and Cyprus, and consolidating mutual trade and investment relations.

According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the establishment of the council reflects Dubai’s prestigious position as a global business hub for Cypriot companies and investors.
The volume of non-oil trade between Dubai and Cyprus during the year 2024 amounted to about 588 million dirhams.
While 71 new Cypriot companies joined the Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first nine months of this year.
The total number of active Cypriot companies registered as members of the Chamber rose to 612 companies by the end of last September.
The first meeting of the Cyprus Business Council was attended by George Papanastasiou, Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry of Cyprus, Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism, and Maha Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Business Community Interests Support Sector at the Dubai Chambers.
Business councils, which operate under the umbrella of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, represent the nationalities of investors who operate in the Emirate of Dubai.
Through cooperation and coordination with the Chamber, emphasis is placed on promoting bilateral trade and investments between Dubai companies and companies from these countries and markets represented by the Councils, with the aim of developing economic partnerships.
