Dubai, UAE – Officials at institutions supplying building and construction supplies and materials revealed that UAE markets have witnessed an increase in demand for sustainable building supplies since the beginning of this year 2025.

This ranges between 30 and 40%, compared to the same period last year.

Officials explained that this growth in building supplies compatible with sustainability and environmental standards is due to the increase in real estate projects and villas.

They pointed out that the exhibition witnessed the expansion of companies in offering innovative, sustainable products for real estate projects.

The most prominent of these are water tanks made of environmentally friendly, antibacterial materials that reduce internal water temperatures by seven degrees Celsius compared to external temperatures, and products that allow choosing the required water flow level and temperatures before use.

In detail.. Hirshad Al-Yamokanth, Services Engineer at Al-Mahrin Building Materials Trading Company, said, “Since the beginning of this year 2025, the UAE markets have witnessed a remarkable increase in demand for building and construction supplies that keep pace with sustainability and environmental standards, at rates exceeding 40%, compared to last year”.

For his part, Nizar Abdul Qader, Commercial and Construction Technology Director at GF Cruises Piping Systems, said, “The significant increase in the offering of new real estate projects in the UAE markets, including a large number of projects based on green and environmentally friendly concepts, and the increased awareness among investors and real estate developers, has greatly supported the demand for sustainable building requirements.”

In the same context, the sales officer at Al-Bassam Factories, Mohammed Khaled, agreed that “local markets have witnessed, since the beginning of this year, an increase in demand for sustainable building supplies by rates exceeding 40% compared to last year, according to market indicators and contracts.”

Green policies

Sofia Kartal, International Sales Officer at Eagle Expansion Vissel, said, “The rates of increase in demand in the UAE markets for sustainable building and construction supplies ranged between 30 and 40% during the current year, compared to last year, according to market contracts”.

It also expected demand for these products to grow, with the policies pursued by the state in supporting green policies in projects.
