Jounieh, Lebanon – Lebanese fighter George Eid won the title of the main fight in the “Emirates Warriors” mixed martial arts championship series, which was held on Thursday in the Lebanese city of Jounieh.
This is for the first time in the history of the tournament under the name “The Road to Abu Dhabi”.
This came after his victory over Moroccan Mohamed Al-Jaghdal in the fight competitions, which were allocated to the weight of 74 kg, and the victory came by the referees’ decision.
Lebanese Shadi Kabani also defeated his compatriot Ali Tabaja by knockout in the featherweight category.
The tournament competitions were held at Fouad Shehab Stadium, with a large participation of elite fighters and a remarkable audience presence.
In the main women’s fight, Turkish Eleanor Kurt defeated Iranian Yaghania Bolaghi by knockout in the flyweight category.
In the rest of the matches, Lebanese fighter Abdel Wahab Masharki achieved a major knockout victory in the first round over Egyptian Magdy Tariq.
This came after an intense offensive performance that he ended with a decisive blow amid interaction from the fans.
Lebanese Ali Zureiq was also able to snatch victory unanimously by the referees at the expense of Egyptian Fathi Mahmoud in a fight characterized by tactical intelligence and diversity of combat methods.
