Edinburgh, Scotland – Grant Forrest won the Nexo Scotland Open golf title at Trump International Links in Aberdeenshire. This was part of the DB World Golf Tour. It was held under the umbrella of the world rankings for the race to Dubai.

The Scottish champion achieved his second title in his career on the DB World Tour. It is his first since 2021, after scoring 8 under par.

Forrest benefited from his brilliance in the second round. He scored 6 under par, 66 strokes. This broke the record for the fewest strokes in one round on this field in the tournament.

The title gave champion Forrest 585 points, raising his score this season to 884 points in the “Race to Dubai” classification. This advancement of 85 steps allows him to occupy 28th place. Moreover, it enhances his chances of participating in the final qualifiers hosted by the country next November.

The players are competing to be in the top 70 in the “Race to Dubai” classification, in order to qualify for the final qualifiers. It starts with the Abu Dhabi “HSBC” Championship, at the “Yas Links” Club, from November 6 to 9. Then the top 50 finishers qualify for the “DB World” round, at Jumeirah Real Estate Golf Club from November 13 to 16.
