The UAE enhances the efficiency of transportation services through field initiatives.

The Ministry of Energy launches digital improvements to land transportation services as part of the Zero Bureaucracy initiative to expedite procedures and enhance the efficiency of government services.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and enhance service efficiency, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure organized a field forum for land transport sector customers representing the private sector. The forum is part of a series of “Zero Bureaucracy” initiatives launched by the ministry to simplify procedures and achieve a smart and advanced government model.

Field visits to improve and develop services

The forum was chaired by His Excellency Eng. Sharif Al Olama, Undersecretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Zero Bureaucracy. He visited a national land transport company. The visit aimed to enhance direct communication with customers, identify the challenges they face, and propose appropriate field solutions.
During the visit, a live demonstration of digital services was conducted, in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Al Olama, who observed the actual application process and listened to an explanation from company employees about the work mechanisms and daily operational challenges.

Digital updates and proactive services

The Ministry reviewed a series of updates to its land transport digital services system, which customers can now complete instantly through the Ministry’s unified digital platform. These services include issuing and renewing transport permits, smart inquiries, and linking with partner entities.

Official statement from the Undersecretary

His Excellency Eng. Sharif Al Olama emphasized that these initiatives embody the vision of the wise leadership to develop a flexible and proactive government model. He said:

“We believe that customers are essential partners in designing and developing services, and field meetings like these embody the spirit of modern government work, which is based on direct interaction and high flexibility.”

He added:

“We aim to provide more efficient and effective services that support the competitiveness of the UAE’s business environment and enhance the sustainability of the land transport sector, in line with the objectives of the “We the Emirates 2031” vision and the government’s digital agenda.”

The “Zero Bureaucracy” initiative, in its various phases, represents a qualitative shift in the approach to government service delivery in the UAE, focusing on ease of access, speed of completion, and precision of implementation. The initiative seeks to reduce the number of steps and requirements for services, ensuring an exceptional government experience for individuals and businesses alike.
