Paris, France – The Louvre Museum’s management revealed in an official statement its initial estimate of the damage caused by the recent robbery that shook the world’s cultural and artistic communities,

indicating that the losses are estimated at approximately 88 million euros.

The statement explained that investigations are still ongoing in cooperation with the relevant security authorities.

To identify the perpetrators and recover the stolen artwork,

It is among the museum’s rarest and most valuable historically and artistically.

The administration confirmed that the insurance and restoration teams

are working to assess the damage and repair what can be repaired.

While security measures have been tightened in all exhibition halls and art warehouses,

Amidst a state of shock and resentment among visitors and the French,

who considered the Louvre incident a “stab in the heart of human heritage.”

In the same context, art experts described the operation as “the largest art theft of the 21st century.”

They added that some stolen items may be difficult to replace or even locate later if they end up on the black market.
