Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi invited his American counterpart Donald Trump on Wednesday to attend the signing of the “Gaza Agreement” in Egypt if it is reached.
In his speech during the graduation ceremony of a new batch of Police Academy students, Sisi said: “President Trump sent his envoys with a clear mandate to work to end the Gaza war”.
He added: “I send a message to President Trump to continue his support for reaching an agreement on Gaza. I invite him to attend the signing of the Gaza Agreement in Egypt if it is reached.
He pointed out that “negotiations are now underway in Sharm el-Sheikh to end the war on Gaza.”
He stressed that the negotiations are “going positively”.
He continued: “We must seize the opportunity and ensure the success of the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations.. Egypt is keen to interact positively with the Palestinian issue.
Sisi also stated that the Egyptian state can overcome any challenge and confront any danger.
He said: “We can overcome the challenges with the unity, cohesion and toughness of the Egyptians.”
He stressed that “no one can threaten the Egyptian state.”
