Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – The Egyptian national team achieved a resounding 4-0 victory over their Saudi Arabian counterparts in a friendly match held Friday evening. This match served as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The Pharaohs opened the scoring early in the fourth minute, after Ahmed Sayed Zizo sent a brilliant pass to Islam Issa inside the penalty area. Issa skillfully dribbled past the goalkeeper and fired a low shot into the bottom right corner.
Egypt added a second goal in the 17th minute, following a perfectly placed cross from Mohamed Hany on the right wing. Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” met it with a powerful header from inside the six-yard box, finding the top right corner of the net.
Before the end of the first half, specifically in the 44th minute, Zizo extended the lead with a third goal, after receiving a brilliant long pass and going one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He then skillfully chipped the ball over the keeper, making it 3-0 for the Pharaohs.
In the 57th minute, Omar Marmoush completed Egypt’s four-goal haul with a rocket shot from outside the penalty area, which goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi failed to stop, and it nestled into the net, announcing the fourth goal.
