Abu Dhabi, UAE – The UAE Football Association announced on Tuesday the cancellation of the national team’s friendly matches against Armenia and the Faroe Islands, which were scheduled to take place during the March training camp.
The national first football team began its internal training camp in the capital, Abu Dhabi, on Monday evening, as part of the international break that extends until the 30th of this month.
The “White” team held its first training session at Zayed Sports City Stadium, led by Romanian coach Cosmin Olăroiu and his assistant staff.
The Football Association explained, via its official account on the “X” platform, that the current program for the camp is limited to training sessions only, without playing any friendly matches.

The national team’s roster for the current camp includes: Ali Khaseif, Hamad Al Muqbali, Adel Al Hosani, Bader Nasser, Richard O’Connor, Joao Pedro Lima, Sasha Ivkovic, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Leonardo Ameseke, Mohammed Rabee, Guilherme Da Silva, Ali Saleh, Abdullah Hamad, Mohammed Abbas, Mamadou Coulibaly, Essam Fayez, Yahya Nader, Nicolas Jimenez, Yahya Al Ghassani, Harib Abdullah, Othman Camara, Yuri Cesar, and Bruno Oliveira.
The coaching staff also decided to call up Bani Yas player, Suhail Al-Noubi, to strengthen the squad, while Al-Jazira player, Marcus Meloni, was excluded due to a recent injury and his need for a period of treatment and rest.
