London, England – Mohamed Salah, the star of Liverpool FC and captain of the Egyptian national team, has announced his departure from the Reds at the end of the season. This comes after nine years at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah said in a video posted on his official accounts: “Unfortunately, the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I will leave Liverpool at the end of the season”.
He added: “I would like to start by saying that I never imagined how deeply I would become attached to this club, this city, these people. They will become an integral part of my life”.
He continued: “Liverpool is not just a football club, it is a passion, a history and a spirit that I cannot describe in words”.
He continued: “For every individual in this club, we have celebrated victory, won the most important titles, and fought together through the most difficult times of our lives”.
He added: “I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of this club throughout my time here, especially my former and current teammates, and the fans. I cannot find the words to express my gratitude for the support you have given me throughout most of my career, and for standing by me in the most difficult times. It is something I will never forget, and I will always carry it with me”.
He added: “Leaving is never easy. You gave me the best times of my life. I will always be one of you. This club will always be my home, for me and my family”.
He concluded: “Thank you for everything, thanks to all of you I will never walk alone”.
The Liverpool star did not clarify his next destination, as his contract with the Reds was set to run until the summer of 2027
Mohamed Salah had moved to Liverpool FC in the summer of 2017, coming from AS Roma.
Mohamed Salah succeeded in writing his name in gold, after achieving many titles and records with Liverpool.

During his time with Liverpool, the Egyptian national team star participated in 435 matches across various competitions, during which he scored 255 goals and made 122 assists.
The 34-year-old won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Community Shield with Liverpool. He also won the FA Cup, the Premier League twice, and the League Cup twice.
