Liverpool, England – Egyptian star Mohamed Salah continued to make history with Liverpool, after achieving a new record in the Champions League, during the match against Galatasaray.
Salah contributed to Liverpool’s 4-0 victory, after scoring the fourth goal with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, which settled into the right corner of the Turkish team’s goalkeeper.
With this goal, the Egyptian star became the first African player to reach 50 goals in the history of the Champions League, continuing to break records in the continental tournament.
Salah also equaled Sami Hyypia’s record as one of the players with the most appearances for Liverpool in European competitions, after starting in the match.
Liverpool secured their place in the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Galatasaray 4-0 in the second leg of the round of 16, despite losing the first leg 1-0.
