In the second half, Real Madrid continued to threaten City’s goal, and Diaz almost scored a fourth goal were it not for Donnarumma’s brilliance.
Vinicius also won a penalty after a challenge from Donnarumma, but he missed it after the Italian goalkeeper managed to save it.
In contrast, Manchester City tried to reduce the deficit, and coach Pep Guardiola made several changes, most notably the participation of Omar Marmoush in the final minutes, but Real Madrid’s defense kept a clean sheet until the final whistle.
