Istanbul, Turkey – Galatasaray secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Liverpool in their Champions League Round of 16 first leg match on Saturday evening.
The match between the two teams was hosted at Rams Park Stadium, and the Turkish team had the advantage in the score from the first minutes of the match.
The only goal of the match came in the seventh minute, after Victor Osimhen headed a ball inside the penalty area, which reached Mario Lemina who shot it directly into the net, giving Galatasaray the lead.

The two teams are scheduled to meet again in the second leg on Wednesday, March 18, at Anfield Stadium, with the match kicking off at 10 pm Cairo time.
