Real Madrid announced on Sunday that their player Dani Ceballos was injured during his last appearance against Osasuna in the Spanish League.
Ceballos featured in Real Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Osasuna. The match took place on Saturday evening at El Sadar Stadium, as part of the 25th round of La Liga.
The club said in an official statement: “Following tests carried out by Real Madrid’s medical staff on our player Dani Ceballos, he has been diagnosed with a muscle tear in the soleus muscle of his right leg, and his condition will be closely monitored.”

Osasuna’s winning goal came in the 90+1 minute after an attack that culminated in Ceballos being dribbled past his marker before scoring. This leaves Real Madrid with 60 points, and they are now at risk of losing their top spot should Barcelona win their match today.
