Abu Dhabi, UAE – Shabab Al Ahli regained the top spot in the UAE Pro League after defeating Al Dhafra 5-0 at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium in a match from the 17th round of fixtures.
Shabab Al Ahli increased their points tally to 41, maintaining their first-place position, with a game in hand. Al Dhafra, meanwhile, remain on 17 points in tenth place.
The five goals for “The Knights” were scored by: Mohammed Juma Al Mansouri (two goals in the 9th and 77th minutes), Saeed Ezzatullah (45+5 from a penalty kick), Guilherme da Silva “Bala” (67), and Bruno Cascardo (74).

Shabab Al Ahly finished the first half with a 2-0 lead. Mohammed Juma Al Mansouri opened the scoring in the 9th minute after a brilliant individual effort from Cascardo, who delivered a cross that Al Mansouri met and slotted into the net. Iranian Saeed Ezatolahi added the second goal in the 45+5 minute from a penalty kick, making Shabab Al Ahly the highest-scoring team in the first half of the league this season with 17 goals. Meanwhile, Al Dhafra became the team that conceded the most goals in the first half with 20.
