As the second half began, Arsenal extended their lead in the 57th minute. This happened when Piero Hincapie received a through ball inside the area, and fired a powerful shot that nestled into the left side of the goalkeeper’s net.
But the home side responded quickly, with Hugo Bueno narrowing the gap in the 61st minute. The goal came from a well-placed shot from outside the penalty area that nestled into the far right corner.

With this result, Arsenal increased their points tally to 58, maintaining their lead at the top of the table, five points ahead of their closest rivals, Manchester City. Meanwhile, Wolverhampton remained in last place with 10 points.
