Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid cruised to a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad in their La Liga match on Saturday evening, temporarily moving to the top of the table.
Real Madrid opened the scoring early through Gonzalo Garcia in the fifth minute, after he received a pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold and fired a low shot into the net. Mikel Oyarzabal then equalized for Real Sociedad in the 21st minute from the penalty spot.

Then Federico Valverde added a third goal in the 31st minute, after firing a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area.

The final minutes saw attempts from both sides, with a Real Sociedad goal disallowed in the 87th minute for offside. A Real Madrid goal by Vinicius in stoppage time was also ruled out for the same reason.
With this victory, Real Madrid temporarily moved to the top of the La Liga standings. Meanwhile, Real Sociedad’s points tally remained unchanged after a heavy away defeat.
