Sharjah, UAE – The eighth edition of the “Arab Women’s Club Games 2026”, which concluded its competitions on Thursday and continued for ten days, reshaped the image of the most prominent Arab championship at the level of women’s clubs.
Not only in terms of the expansion of participation, but also through the addition of two new sports for the first time and the increase in the pace of competition in games that decided their titles early.
The volleyball finals are awaiting the conclusion.
The tournament kicked off at Al Majaz Theatre with the announcement of the opening of the competitions by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi.
With the participation of 65 clubs from 16 Arab countries, they competed in 9 games.
This was in an opening that carried the symbolism of joint Arab action by raising the flags of “Arab Women”, “Union of Arab National Olympic Committees”, and “League of Arab States”.
The ceremony witnessed the premiere of the full version of the new audio identity “Arab Ladies”.
The competitions extended across 10 sports facilities in three cities in Sharjah.
It included: basketball, volleyball, table tennis, fencing, athletics, archery, bow and arrow.
Along with taekwondo and beach rafting, which joined the sports program for the first time.
The competitions concluded with the Moroccan Wydad Sports Club topping the overall standings.
It was followed by the Jordanian Prince Rashid Center in second place, and the Saudi Al-Qadisiyah Club in third place.
The Iraqi North Gas Club won the Ideal Team Cup.
While the Jordanian Prince Rashid Center player, Fadia Gharfan, won the Best Player Award, and the Best Wisdom Award went to Kalsam Al-Mutawa from the State of Qatar.
