Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Ahly achieved a resounding victory over their hosts Al-Shabab with a score of (5-2), in the match that brought them together on Friday evening, as part of the 22nd round of the Saudi League.
Al Ahly asserted their dominance early on, opening the scoring in the sixth minute through Rayan Hamed, before Franck Kessie reinforced the result with the second goal in the 20th minute.
Then Riyad Mahrez added the third goal five minutes later, confirming Al-Raed’s superiority in the first half.
Yannick Carrasco narrowed the gap for Al Shabab in the 33rd minute. But Al Ahly responded quickly by scoring the fourth goal one minute later, before Carrasco returned and scored his team’s second goal in the 44th minute. The first half ended with Al Ahly leading (4-2).
In the second half, Al Ahly continued their dominance, and Ivan Toni managed to score the fifth goal from a penalty kick in the 83rd minute, securing a resounding victory for his team.
