London, England – Liverpool’s Egyptian star Mohamed Salah is looking to achieve a new record during the Premier League match against Manchester City.
Liverpool will host Manchester City next Sunday at Anfield in the 25th round of the Premier League.
Liverpool currently sit sixth in the Premier League table with 39 points, while Manchester City are second with 47 points. This highly anticipated match will see both teams vying for all three points.
The Liverpool vs Manchester City match will be the 200th meeting between the two sides in all competitions. Liverpool have won 95 of those matches, while Manchester City have won 53, according to Liverpool’s official website.
Mohamed Salah holds the record for the most goal contributions against Manchester City in the history of the English Premier League, with 15 contributions, more than any other player.
The Egyptian star has also contributed to 21 goals against Manchester City in all competitions since joining Liverpool, scoring 13 and assisting 8. Only Manchester United, with 22 goal contributions, have more against a single opponent.
Salah is just two goals away from equaling Ian Rush’s record as the all-time top scorer against Manchester City with 15 goals.
