Abu Dhabi, UAE – Frenchman Karim Benzema made a dream start to his Al-Hilal career, leading his team to a resounding 6-0 victory over Al-Akhdoud in their Saudi Professional League match on Thursday evening.
Benzema joined Al-Hilal during the current transfer window, arriving from Al-Ittihad. He made his debut for the club in their match against Al-Akhdoud, in the 21st round of the Saudi Professional League.
The French star made his mark quickly, opening the scoring for Al-Hilal in the 31st minute. He then added a second goal in the 60th minute. He completed his hat-trick with a third goal just four minutes later, specifically in the 64th minute.

In the 74th minute, Salem Al-Dawsari added Al-Hilal’s fifth goal. He then returned in stoppage time, specifically in the 90+3 minute, to score his second and Al-Hilal’s sixth goal of the match.
With this resounding victory, Al-Hilal raised its tally to 50 points, continuing to lead the Saudi Roshan League standings, while Al-Akhdoud’s tally remained frozen at 10 points in the penultimate position (17), continuing its struggles in the competition.
