Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Ahli Jeddah thrashed Al-Khaleej 4-1 in their Saudi Professional League match on Tuesday evening.
Al-Inma Stadium hosted the match between Al-Ahli and Al-Khaleej, as part of the 17th round of the Saudi Roshan League, and witnessed a clear superiority for the home team in the second half.
Al Khaleej took the lead in the 20th minute through Greek player Giorgos Masouras, who capitalized on an organized attack to put his team ahead.
Al Ahly waited until the second half to turn the tide of the match, after Ivan Toni shone brightly, scoring a hat-trick in the 59th, 67th and 79th minutes, leading his team to a strong comeback amid clear offensive dominance.
Before the end of the match, Ryan Mohamed Hamed completed Al Ahly’s four-goal haul by scoring the fourth goal in the 86th minute, confirming his team’s superiority and securing the three points.
With this result, Al-Ahli Jeddah raised its tally to 37 points, occupying second place in the Saudi League standings, while Al-Khaleej’s tally remained frozen at 24 points in eighth place.
