Rabat, Morocco – Sudan secured a valuable 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea in their Africa Cup of Nations match on Sunday.
Sudan’s national team met with Equatorial Guinea at the Mohammed V Stadium, as part of the second round of the continental tournament.
Sudan’s only goal was scored by Saul Koko, who put the ball into his own net in the 74th minute.

The Sudanese national team is in Group E of the Africa Cup of Nations, along with the national teams of Algeria, Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea.
With this result, Sudan earned their first three points, placing them third and keeping their hopes alive of qualifying for the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations. Equatorial Guinea remains at the bottom of the group with no points.
