Rabat, Morocco – Hossam Hassan, the Egyptian national football team’s coach, confirmed that star player Mohamed Salah is in high spirits. He also stressed that the Pharaohs’ captain is capable of making a strong comeback and leading the team during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

During a press conference held in Rabat, Hossam Hassan stated that the coaching staff has complete confidence in Mohamed Salah’s mental and psychological readiness. He explained that the player possesses extensive experience in major tournaments and knows very well how to handle pressure and continental challenges.

The Egyptian national team coach added that talk of Salah being affected or his performance declining is inaccurate. He emphasized that the player is highly focused and striving to give his best for the national team, especially since the Africa Cup of Nations is a major objective for the Pharaohs and Egyptian fans.

Hossam Hassan pointed out that the national team doesn’t rely on just one player. Rather, it possesses a cohesive group of players capable of making a difference. He noted that the focus during the past period has been on improving physical and technical readiness, as well as strengthening team spirit within the camp.

The coach emphasized that the competition in the upcoming edition of the tournament will be fierce. While acknowledging the improved level of African teams, he affirmed that the Egyptian national team possesses the history and experience to compete strongly for the title.

Hossam Hassan concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the coaching staff has great confidence in the players. The goal is to perform in a manner befitting Egypt’s name and to bring joy to the fans by achieving positive results throughout the tournament.
