Doha, Qatar – Egypt snatched an exciting draw from the UAE with one goal each, in the match that brought them together on Saturday evening, as part of the Arab Cup 2025 tournament.
The UAE national team met Egypt at Lusail Stadium, as part of the second round of the Arab Championship.
The match started well for both the Egyptian and Emirati teams, with a noticeable advantage for the Pharaohs.
Egypt’s Ghanem Mohamed wasted a goal opportunity in the fifth minute, after a corner kick from the right side taken by Mostafa Saad with a pass and then a cross, which he met with a header from inside the penalty area, but it went over the crossbar.
The UAE national team succeeded in scoring the opening goal in the 60th minute, through Caio Lucas Fernandes, after he received a pass from the left side and met it with a shot from inside the penalty area that found the back of the net.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian national team snatched the equalizer in the 85th minute, through Marwan Hamdi, after a cross from Karim El-Iraqi that he met with a header that found the back of the net.

With that result, the Egyptian national team raised its tally to two points in second place, while the UAE national team came in third place.
