Cairo, Egypt – Egypt’s second national team, participating in the Arab Cup, achieved a thrilling 3-2 victory over their Algerian counterparts. The match took place on Friday evening as part of both teams’ preparations for the Arab Cup.
Egypt’s second team hosted their Algerian counterparts at Cairo International Stadium, as part of both teams’ preparations for the Arab Cup tournament.
The Algerian national team took the lead in the 31st minute, through Adel Boulbina, after a breakthrough from the right side of the Pharaohs, to score it into the goal.
Egypt responded with an equalizer through an own goal by Algerian defender Imad Eddine Azzi, following a cross from Mohamed Sherif in the 40th minute and pressure from Islam Issa.
The Algerian national team regained its lead in the 67th minute, through Nassim Al-Ghul, after a shot was saved by Mohamed Bassam and the player followed it up into the net.
Meanwhile, the Pharaohs equalized and scored their second goal in the 81st minute, through Ragab Nabil, after a cross from Mohamed Elneny that he headed into the net.
In the 89th minute, Hossam Hassan scored the third goal after the ball reached him in the penalty area, and he put it into the goal.
