Cairo, Egypt – The Egyptian Football Association announced a set of financial and administrative penalties following the Egyptian Super Cup final.
This included imposing fines on clubs and players for violations related to official protocols and fan behavior.
Super penalties
The penalties were as follows:
Al Ahly, the Super Cup champion, was penalized as follows:
A financial fine was imposed on player Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed Sayed “Zizo”.
The penalty was 50,000 pounds for failure to comply
with the protocol for the coronation ceremony.
As for Pyramids FC, the federation’s punishment for them was as follows:
coach Krunoslav Jurcic was suspended for one match and fined 10,000 Egyptian pounds.
This is a result of his being sent off for dissent during the third-place match against Ceramica Cleopatra.
Zamalek has received the most penalties
As for Zamalek Club, it received the most penalties, which were as follows:
A fine of 100,000 Egyptian pounds was imposed due to the collective insults
from the club’s fans during the final match against Al-Ahly.
An additional fine of 100,000 Egyptian pounds was imposed due to
the collective abuse by his fans during the semi-final match against Pyramids.
Player Juan Alvina Bezerra was fined £50,000 for failing to comply
with the protocol for the coronation ceremony.
The federation confirmed that the Super Cup penalties are in line
with the commitment to the rules governing matches
and sportsmanship both on and off the field.
This is to maintain discipline and ensure the smooth running of the tournaments.
