Cairo, Egypt – 23 teams secured their places in the round of 32 of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, following the conclusion of today’s matches in the third and final round of the group stage of the tournament.
Eight matches were held today as part of the third round of the group stage in the Under-17 World Cup, and witnessed the Egyptian national team losing to England by three goals to nil.
Meanwhile, Venezuela defeated Haiti 4-2 in the match that brought them together in the same group that includes the Egyptian national team.
Egypt secured their qualification for the round of 32 of the Under-17 World Cup, despite losing to England 3-0.
Egypt qualified for the round of 32 of the World Cup as the best third-placed team among the 8 third-placed teams.
The Egyptian national team had achieved victory in the first round match against Haiti with a score of 4-1, before drawing in the second round against Venezuela with a score of (1-1).
The top two teams from each of the 12 groups, along with the 8 best third-placed teams, are scheduled to qualify for the round of 32 of the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Morocco and Tunisia also qualified among the top 8 third-placed teams.
