Cairo, Egypt – Barcelona returned to winning ways after achieving a valuable victory over Elche by three goals to one, in the match that brought them together on Sunday evening, as part of the Spanish League competitions.
Barcelona met Elche on Sunday evening at Montjuïc Stadium, in the 11th round of the Spanish League.
Barcelona opened the scoring through Lamine Yamal in the ninth minute of the first half. The goal came after a pass from Balde, which Yamal received and fired a powerful shot into the Elche goalkeeper’s net.
Ferran Torres added Barcelona’s second goal in the 12th minute, after a pass from Fermín López on the left. Torres met the cross with a close-range shot that found the back of the net.

Marcus Rashford completed Barcelona’s hat-trick in the 61st minute, after dribbling past an Elche defender and then shooting a ball into the net.
With that result, Barcelona moved up to second place in La Liga with 25 points, while Elche remained in ninth place with 14 points.
