Cairo, Egypt – Al Ain achieved a resounding victory over their host Ajman, with three goals to nil. This was in the match that brought them together this evening as part of the UAE League Championship.
Al Ain visited Ajman at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium. It was a part of the seventh round of the ADNOC Pro League competition.
Al Ain took the lead with the first goal in the 11th minute of the first half through Palacios. After a pass from Soufiane Rahimi on the right side hit an Ajman defender, it reached Palacios. He met it with a rocket shot that found the back of the net.
Al Ain missed a second goal in the 19th minute, after a pass from Moroccan Soufiane Rahimi. Palacios almost put it into the net, but Ajman’s defender cleared it with difficulty.
In the 60th minute, Al-Zaeem succeeded in scoring the second goal through Laba Kodjo from a penalty kick. It was awarded to his team, which he shot to the left of Ajman’s goalkeeper.
Kaku completed Al Ain’s hat-trick in the 81st minute after receiving a low cross from Moroccan Soufiane Rahimi. He then fired a superb shot from inside the penalty area that found the back of the net.
In the 87th minute, Al Ain defender Rami Rabia missed a chance for a fourth goal after a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. His shot was saved by the Ajman goalkeeper and went out for a corner kick.
With that result, Al Ain returns to the top of the UAE league. This was a position previously held by Al Wahda after their victory over Al Nasr.
Al Ain increased their points tally to 19, maintaining their lead and opening up a two-point advantage over second-placed Al Wahda. Meanwhile, Ajman’s points remained at 9, leaving them in eighth place.
