Cairo, Egypt – Liverpool fans launched a fierce attack on Dutch manager Arne Sloat after his team’s defeat to Crystal Palace and elimination from the Carabao Cup in the round of 16.
Liverpool were knocked out of the Carabao Cup after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. The match took place on Wednesday evening at Anfield, as part of the Round of 16 of the competition.

The match was marked by the absence of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, after he was excluded from the team’s squad against Crystal Palace.
Following the match, Liverpool fans launched a fierce attack on manager Arne Slott for leaving out Egyptian star Mohamed Salah. They expressed their anger through posts on the X platform.
One fan wrote: “A coach made by Mohamed Salah.”
Another said: “A coach who’s a liar… He conceded 23 goals in the last 15 games. He only kept a clean sheet in two of the last 20 games. Arne Salt benched the fourth best player in the world as usual. Mohamed Salah made you when Liverpool won the English Premier League on their own.”
A third person added: “Disaster! Fifth consecutive loss and elimination from the cup in a rigged match, Sloth is on the path to collapse again!!”
A fourth person sarcastically asked: “What’s the matter, Sloth? Is Mohamed Salah the reason for today’s defeat as well?”
One of them expressed his opinion, saying: “No tactics, no reading of the game correctly, no proper play, no corners, no throws, nothing, nothing, nothing. Now I realize that if it weren’t for Mohamed Salah’s legendary performance, Liverpool would not have won the league.”
Another sarcastically added: “Slot is considering finishing the league in 20th place as a tribute to Jota.”
