Cairo, Egypt – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Wednesday the dates and venues for the continental play-off matches. These qualify for the global play-off for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
A mini-tournament is scheduled to take place from November 13 to 16, 2025, in the Moroccan capital, Rabat. Four national teams will participate: Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, and Nigeria.
The first semi-final between Nigeria and Gabon will take place on Thursday, November 13, at 6 pm Cairo time.
The second semi-final between Cameroon and DR Congo will take place on Thursday, November 13, at 9:00 AM Cairo time.
Stadiums for the Continental Cup play-off semi-final matches
The semi-final matches will be played on Thursday, November 13, at the Stade de la Poste and the Prince Moulay Hassan Sports Complex. A draw will be held on October 30, 2025, to determine the venue for each match.
The final match will take place on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Prince Moulay Hassan Stadium, at 9 pm.
The winner of the continental play-off qualifies for the global play-off for the 2026 World Cup. This is scheduled to take place in March 2026 to compete for the tenth and final African spot in the World Cup.
