Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Shaheen team won the title of the first edition of the UAE-Egyptian Rugby Super Championship for the 15-player category.
This came after defeating Alexandria 62-10 in the match that took place on Wednesday evening at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.
Embodying the agreement concluded between the UAE and Egyptian federations to hold the tournament annually, alternating between the two countries.
Egypt will host the second edition next year.
Saud Abdullah Al Nuaimi, member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Rugby Federation and Secretary-General of the Arab Federation, stressed that the success of the first edition of the tournament strengthens relations between the two federations.
In addition, it represents a technical, organizational and administrative gain for both teams.

He pointed out that the Federation’s Board of Directors continues to conclude agreements with other federations. This is done to achieve new gains at various levels.

This is with the aim of supporting the ranks of the men’s national team with citizen players.
