ISTANBUL, Türkiye – R.B. Marie Leila from Wutnan Racing Stables was crowned the President’s Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses at his Turkish station.
Which was held at the “Feli Efendi” track in Istanbul, on Sunday, as part of the racing agenda of the thirty-second edition of the tournament.
The Cup racing series enjoys the support and guidance of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Staff of the Presidency.
This is in support of raising the status of purebred Arabian horses and enhancing their presence on international tracks.
The champion representative of the State of Qatar, R.B. Mary Laila, led by jockey Daniel Todhope, succeeded in presenting a wonderful performance.
Through it, she was able to easily decide the competition in her favor in the 1600-meter race.
This is within the third category and is intended for dowries and foals aged 3 years and above.
12 horses participated in the race, representing the strongest horse stables in the Republic of Turkey.
The value of his prizes amounted to 250 thousand US dollars. This makes him the most expensive in the history of Arab horse racing on Turkish tracks.
The champion finished the race in 1:46:91 minutes.
She thus outperformed her runner-up “Katie Zamani” by seven lengths, while “Karl Qarnaja” came in third.
The 116th-ranked mare continued her brilliance on world tracks. She raised her winning streak to 12, in addition to finishing runner-up twice from 16 appearances.
The race and coronation ceremony were attended by Saeed Thani Hareb Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Turkey. Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary General of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the President’s Cup Series for Arabian Horses, was also present.
The competitions were attended by a large audience, confirming the Turkish station’s strong presence in the Istanbul Horse Festival.
