Ravenna, Italy – Featuring some of the world’s most elite athletes, the UAE’s national parachuting team won six medals at the World Championships, which concluded yesterday in Ravenna, Italy.

Star Abdel Bari Qabisi won four medals, including a gold medal in the “Accuracy of Target” category, and three silver medals in the overall classification and the “Distance” and “Freestyle” categories, after a distinguished performance in which he achieved full marks in the first and second rounds, collecting a total of 291 points to take second place in the overall classification.

National team player Collina Muhai also won two medals, winning silver in the “Speed” category and bronze in the “Freestyle” category.

The national team dedicated this achievement to the wise leadership in appreciation of its continued support for parachuting, as well as to the Ministry of Sports and the UAE Air Sports Federation.

The mission affirmed that this success reflects the level of interest the sport enjoys in the country and the ongoing development of Emirati parachuting on the global stage.

Mohammed Yousef Abdulrahman, Secretary-General of the UAE Air Sports Federation, praised the team’s outstanding performance and thanked the Skydive Dubai team for their role in ensuring the success of the preparatory period.
