This comes after a comprehensive development process to restore the historic building to preserve its cultural and archaeological value, and to add new facilities and exhibition halls equipped with the latest interactive technologies in accordance with the highest standards in the historical museums sector.
Sheikh Hazza conducted an inspection tour that included various museum facilities to view the most prominent exhibits and archaeological collectibles displayed by the museum to introduce visitors to the customs and traditions prevailing in the region in the past.

In addition to the archaeological halls that take visitors on a journey through history to ancient times through archaeological discoveries of human settlements dating back thousands of years.

After its development, the museum includes 10 main halls equipped with visual and interactive display equipment and technologies.
In addition, new facilities for visitors and researchers include a research center, conservation and restoration laboratories, interactive educational spaces, a reading room, a café and shop, and a temporary exhibition hall.
Documenting the national heritage
Sheikh Hazza stressed that Al Ain Museum is one of the most prominent cultural edifices in the history of the region, as it is the first museum in the United Arab Emirates.
He pointed out that the reopening of the museum after the redevelopment process embodies the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to continue the approach of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in protecting and preserving our cultural identity and ancient heritage, preserving them and transmitting them to future generations.
He praised the efforts of the authorities concerned with the culture and heritage sector to preserve historical monuments of national symbolism.
