New Delhi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended the opening session of the “Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit”.
It was chaired by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, in the presence of a number of heads of state, heads of government, senior officials, decision-makers, investors, and representatives of major global technology companies.
This is on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Emirates.
The opening session of the summit focused on enhancing international cooperation to support efforts to adopt artificial intelligence solutions in sustainable development paths and raise the level of the economic innovation system at the global level.
In addition to discussing future strategic priorities for the artificial intelligence sector, and examining opportunities to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors to advance the wheel of artificial intelligence towards serving emerging economies and ensuring an improvement in the quality of life of societies around the world.
The summit’s leadership session discussed ways to support the building of international partnerships to enhance global cooperation between North and South countries in the field of artificial intelligence. Developing frameworks to integrate the technological innovation system into various vital sectors of strategic priority in line with global economic trends.

On the sidelines of the opening session, the Global Artificial Intelligence Partnership Council (GPAI) held a meeting in which 58 member states participated to discuss the progress achieved by international initiatives related to cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence. Coordinating common priorities and enhancing cooperation between various stakeholders to develop responsible policies in artificial intelligence research and science.
The meeting also adopted the “Leaders’ Statement,” which outlines a joint roadmap for strengthening global AI governance principles and developing international cooperation mechanisms.
This is in accordance with the recommendations of the Paris Summit Joint Declaration on Artificial Intelligence (February 11, 2025), which define the principles of AI technology governance and equal employment opportunities for its solutions and applications for all.

The UAE’s participation in the “Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit” comes within the framework of its firm commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at harnessing technological solutions to serve humanity and achieve comprehensive development.
