Dubai, UAE – The UAE achieved strategic milestones in the field of artificial intelligence in 2025.

To take confident steps towards establishing one of the most powerful digital infrastructures in the world, and to consolidate its position as a pivotal country in shaping the features of the new global economy.

The percentage of use of artificial intelligence tools in the UAE reached 97%, the highest in the world, while the number of programmers exceeded 450,000.

The international scene was characterized by broad movements led by the UAE in the field of artificial intelligence.

The year 2025 witnessed the launch of the UAE-France Framework for Cooperation on Artificial Intelligence.

It included establishing projects in renewable energy and advanced chips, and developing joint research platforms.

In addition to investing in a one-gigawatt computing complex in France.

The establishment of the UAE-US Artificial Intelligence Complex in Abu Dhabi, with a capacity of 5 gigawatts, marked a major turning point.

It is the largest supercomputing complex outside the United States.

The project provides computing power capable of serving billions of users, relying on various energy sources including nuclear, solar and gas.

He also announced the «Stargate UAE» project with a capacity of one gigawatt, in partnership between «G42», «OpenAI», «Oracle», «Cisco», SoftBank, and «Nvidia».

The project will include the latest chips «Grace Blackwell GB300».

Which makes it one of the largest advanced processing clusters in the region.

The first phase is scheduled to begin operating in 2026, while infrastructure is being implemented within the new UAE-US complex.

This year, the UAE’s «MGX» announced, in cooperation with «BlackRock» and «Microsoft», that «NVIDIA» and «XAI» would join the «Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure Partnership», with the aim of investing in next-generation data centers and advanced energy solutions, with a total potential investment of up to $100 billion.

The UAE launched an artificial intelligence system to support the development of the international agricultural sector.

This is within the framework of a $200 million partnership with the «Gates» Foundation, which was announced during the Conference of the Parties (COP28).

Supporting Africa with artificial intelligence

During the recent G20 summit, the UAE announced the «Artificial Intelligence for Development» initiative worth one billion dollars.

This is to support artificial intelligence projects in African countries.

Emirati companies continued their international activity in the field of artificial intelligence.

«Presite» opened a smart cities laboratory in Kazakhstan, to support digital transformation programs in Central Asia.

He also announced the «UAE-US Artificial Intelligence Corridor», which enables the flow of advanced semiconductors to national companies.

The UAE unveiled the world’s first intelligent legislative system that uses artificial intelligence to analyze laws, assess the impact of legislation, and prepare public policies.

Investments directed towards artificial intelligence exceeded 543 billion dirhams during the years 2024 and 2025.

While various international companies, such as Microsoft and KKR, have announced significant investments within the country.
