Washington, USA – NASA has announced that the world is set to witness the longest solar eclipse of the 21st century. This eclipse will occur on August 2, 2027. The celestial event is expected to last an exceptionally long period of six minutes and 23 seconds.
A solar eclipse is defined as a celestial event that occurs when the moon passes directly between the sun and the earth. This passage casts its shadow on the earth, blocking all or part of the sunlight.

Large areas of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East will be under the moon’s shadow. According to NASA’s map, the longest eclipse will be recorded in Egypt, specifically in the cities of Luxor and Aswan.
