Voice of the Emirates – A new technology project has been launched aiming to establish data centers specializing in operating artificial intelligence systems within space orbit. This is a first-of-its-kind step globally towards transferring advanced computing infrastructure beyond Earth.

The project involves deploying massive data processing units inside advanced, solar-powered satellites. The natural coolness of space is utilized to cool these giant servers. This achieves high operational efficiency and reduces reliance on traditional energy sources.

Developers and experts have confirmed that orbital data centers represent an innovative solution to meet the growing demand for computing power needed for artificial intelligence applications, particularly in the areas of smart cities, autonomous vehicles, and global digital services.

Experts believe this step paves the way for a new era in cloud computing and digital infrastructure. Pilot testing of the project is expected to begin soon.
